Our cocktail box

September 2, 2017

Once we knew we wanted a bar that could come with us wherever we wanted to take the cocktails, we had to decide what form it would take. We toyed with various options, including caravan and vintage vehicles. Once we thought of it, it seemed obvious that our bar would be a horsebox conversion - it was the perfect size, and we knew we could style it in the way that we wanted. But where would we get a horsebox and how would we convert it? Thankfully, that is when we found Steve at the Hungry Horsebox. Based near Birmingham, Steve is much handier than we are (although of course we make a mean cocktail) and converts horseboxes into catering units. His wife is an interior designer - between them we thought they sounded like the dream team and so we decided what type of horsebox we wanted, and started getting our mood boards together, comfortable knowing that we had a safe pair of hands to steer us through the rest.
