We haven't shared much about ourselves on our site, because our company is about the drinks, the service and the bar. Now we want to tell you a bit more about the people behind it, as this has all come from our passion and our experiences. We are a married couple, Sarah & Jono. In June this year we celebrated our two year wedding anniversary, which coincides with our eleven year anniversary (we became a couple on 6.6.6!). And so we went back to our wedding venue, Smollenksy's restaurant in Canary Wharf for lunch. We reminisced about the wedding; the day itself but also the planning. Planning a wedding was like nothing else we had done before. Aside of deciding I would make 1,000 origami cranes (thank goodness we had a twenty month engagement!) we found ourselves taking on a whole host of tasks we had never done before, that required us to be creative, organised, imaginative, a bit bossy, and diplomatic. Similarly to our current exercise of working with an expert to convert something simple into something wonderful with Steve and our horsebox bar; I worked with Kelly at Fairweather Vintage, Ipswich, to transform a simple and slightly tatty 1950's vintage wedding dress from Oxfam into a one of a kind wedding dress that I could only have dreamed of. And so when we imagine serving drinks at weddings we imagine being a part of a day that is so special; that is about the past, the present and the future for that couple; that has had love and care and effort poured into it. We know how it feels to be nervous about suppliers delivering, and we know the importance of making sure that a couple knows what they can expect and when throughout the planning process as well as the day itself, and of building a relationship so that they know that they can have trust in us.
