We love the festive period - it is so packed full of delicious smells and tastes. This year we had Christmas at home in London and took our food and drink list very seriously! We managed not to forget any edible items but did somehow forget crackers, so no silly hats and Dad-jokes for us! Jono made me the best hot toddy in the early afternoon to help my cold - in case you didn’t see on our instagram it was:
Whisky (we used Jack Daniels)
A cinnamon stick (stir as you go!)
I’d highly recommend it if you’re under the weather, and it was delicious too.
By the evening I felt well enough to move onto our Christmas cocktail:
Spiced rum, campari, cranberry juice, prosecco, star anise & cinnamon.
We saw the New Year in with a couple more of these, and I also had some prosecco with a Tiptree English Rhubarb Gin Liqueur added, which had been a Christmas gift and was delicious.
We are excited to think about the coming year. We have some fantastic weddings in the calendar at a real mixture of venues, and Woodlands Festival too. It is an intimate, family friendly weekend festival at @thewildmeadow in the stunning Kent countryside. It is in aid of Alzheimer's Society & Macmillan Cancer Support. We will be providing the drinks, including Bloody Mary’s in the mornings, and can’t wait to be part of it!
We have some fab wedding shows in the diary too - one that we can tell you about today is the Suffolk Wedding Shed Show at Jimmy’s Farm on the 19th May. We had a blast at their show last year - tickets are on sale now and are only £2.50 if you grab them now, go go go!
We also have some plans underway to collaborate with some of our favourite vendors - we can’t wait to firm this up and tell you all about it! Get in touch if you fancy collaborating with us - we love opportunities to do something different with fun and creative people.
